What is LogScope™

HRP gets asked a lot of questions about what LogScope™ is and what can it do. Lets outline some of the capabilities. Please email us at sales@harveyrockphysics.com

  • Runs on iOS, iPad and Windows

  • Impervious to wifi connections going down

  • All data is interoperable between all operating systems

  • Is gesture and mouse/keyboard friendly.

One of the main things that we output is a hydrocarbon volume report directly as an excel spreadsheet. As shown here with histograms and a summary report.

LogScope has the ability to instantly display logs from a variety of sources such as LAS, DLIS, CSV or directly from XSpace from Halliburton, TGS, Well to desk and more sources constantly being added.

LogScope is licensed as modules and bundles which is shown here

LogScope Basic Display can be licensed as a purely basic display package that allows the display of data immediately in addition to:

  • Individual single curves being manipulated.

  • Discrete data - both text and real numbers.

  • Statistics.

  • Zone or formation tops.

  • Mapping with ability to put shapes and georeferenced tiffs.

  • Cross sections as shown here

LogScope Advanced Display adds the ability to edit curves. This includes depth matching, patching, redigitising and other functionality. This also allows arrays such as full wave sonic, borehole images and photographic images to be displayed in a depth indexed format such as shown here:

Petrophysical Evaluation is divided into a basic analysis and advanced petrophysical suite:

The Basic Log Analysis functionality allows the user to use a deterministic approach to calculate porosity, saturation, permeability and with a PEF the lithology.

The Advanced Log Analysis includes the ability to compute complex lithology without the PEF. It also has the following implemented:

  • Dual water model

  • Silty Shaley sand model

In the advanced log analysis the following is also included:

  • Geomechanical properties

  • Coal Bed Methane

  • Unconventional analysis

  • NMR T2 to porosity, clay and permeability

  • Cased Hole processing

The Geomechanics includes:

  • A unique approach to using the mineral model to calculate UCS and other curves

  • A recomputed density, compressional and shear sonic is recomputed.

The T2 to porosity, permeability and volume of clay is computed as shown below:
